Molly

Molly came to the team in 2019. Her last owner was experienced with monitors. But he hadn't had her for very long... he rescued her from a bad situation. She is covered with scars from injuries and I suspect some scale rot. But she appears to be recovered as much as that is possible. Black throated monitors are in the Varanidae family, like Komodo dragons. She eats rats mostly, but loves some large insects as treats. They live 15-20 years and we have no idea how old she is. I am guessing she is a female, because males are usually caught "exposing themselves" at some point and I have never seen that with her.
